The Plastic

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) is a non-porous thermosetting plastic that is perfect for manufacturing anything that needs to be water-tight. PET is a popular choice for drinks bottles because it is lightweight, safe and fully recyclable. 

The Technique

The PET bottle blow molding process works by reheating a pre-molded PET preform which is then automatically positioned into a mould. High-pressure food-grade compressed air is then injected into the preform which expands to form the shape of the mould. Once the plastic has cooled, the bottle is removed and the process repeats. This process is suitable for making a large range of bottles up to 1 liter in capacity with a range of standard necks available.  Bottles can also be supplied in custom colors with low MOQ
